  BFA, Musical Theatre

Kristin Mellian, born and raised Canton, Michigan, began studying acting method along with classical voice at age 12. After acquiring her BFA in Musical Theatre and Shakespeare Study (London, UK), Kristin moved to New York City and performed professionally in Off-Broadway, regional theatre, dinner theatre, and stock. As a vocalist, she performed and headlined on Celebrity and Oceania Cruise Lines traveling to North America, Central America, South America, Europe, and Africa.

When Kristin met actor Aaron Pushkar (her now husband), she was inspired to focus on film, television, and voiceover. Her first lead film role in Without/Within won her an award for "Best Actress" at ShockerFest International Film Festival.

After beginning her journey into film-acting, (while still singing classically with the LA Operetta), Kristin strived to become an artist capable of working in several mediums. Upon meeting Marc Graue, Kristin decided it was time to create a home voiceover studio. She has done several voiceover projects since.

Kristin most recently played the supporting comedic role of Miss Jessica in the feature film Horse Camp, starring Dean Cain, which attained international distribution and is being sold at top retailers in the United States.  Another film of Kristin's, Dog For Christmas (starring Dean Cain, Richard Karn, and Dustin Diamond), is soon to have a similar release.

In 2012, Kristin was accepted into Cal State LA’s MFA program in Acting for TV, Film and Theatre where she has trained the last three years and collaborated with other actors, writers and producers. Currently, she is completing her thesis project on Fitzmaurice Voicework. Outside of performing, Kristin is a passionate educator and is concluding her first year as an undergraduate acting professor.
